Essential Steps to Cleaning a Grill

Cleaning your grill every after use is a good practice. Use stainless steel wire brush or brass to clean it when the grates are still warm.
Other alternative option is to turn the burner to high before you grill, then brush the hot grates after smoke clears.
If your grill doesn't have porcelain coating, use crumpled aluminum foil to scrape them once they're cool.

Use hot, soapy water to clean the grill brush after every use to prevent bacteria from growing due to food caught in the bristles.

Empty the grease catch pan after it cools because heat can cause grease to catch fire.
Wipe the pan and use a grille brush to scrape out any stubborn residue;
You can use disposable liners made by the grill's manufacturer as another option if available.
